NewSeas is not a broker or financial services provider: We work with you to create an investable financial plan and execute a successful operating plan to grow a profitable aquaculture business. We are equity partners in the projects that we support and are rewarded through the projects’ long-term success.

Here’s our process:
1. Evaluation and agreement
Let’s discuss your project. We’ll let you know whether it seems like a good fit for co-development, and will describe our expectations about how a partnership with NewSeas might work. A review of our criteria page will help you determine whether we are likely to share a complimentary vision.
If we’re on the same page, we’ll recommend a customized workflow plan and co-development agreement
2. Pre-financing development and derisking
Together we’ll create an investable business plan and project-finance -style financial model that lets us mitigate risk and test finance structuring options. During this phase, we’ll meet with you at the project site to confirm all material we have developed together and fill in any remaining gaps. Where appropriate, NewSeas may also offer cash-based investments to fund completion of other important derisking milestones.
3. Build-out fundraising
Once we are both fully satisfied, NewSeas leads a build-out financing round by circulating the investment opportunity across our networks. You can expect the process of developing the project plan and addressing funders due-diligence to be highly iterative. The fundraising process is very much a participative one: we will do it together.
NewSeas’ contributions to project realization convert to equity shares upon successful closure of investment.
4. Post investment management support
As a long-term partner with the operating team, NewSeas is fully aligned with our partners towards the projects’ continuing optimisation and growth. Post-investment we support the day-to-day management team with value-adding functions such as stakeholder reporting and communications, technical support, and growth finance. By leveraging the scale of a global production portfolio, we also enhance sales and marketing opportunities for our partner companies.
